The Vacheron Constantin Historique ref. 4705 is a manual-winding dress watch from
1953, cased in 34mm yellow gold with a matching yellow gold bezel. The dial is silver
with a guilloche center pattern, framed by applied Arabic numerals and gold dauphine-
style hands, signed Vacheron & Constantin Geneve. Power comes from a 17-jewel manual-
winding movement, wound and set via the crown at three o’clock. The case sits on
an alligator skin strap, sized for a wrist accustomed to vintage proportions rather
