Examined to the movement.
The Cartier Tank Must WSTA0072 is the large-model black-lacquer-dial expression of the modern Tank Must, the reference that brought the iconic 1977 Tank Must vermeil silhouette back into contemporary Cartier production in stainless steel and at a more accessible point of entry to the Tank collection. The Tank lineage itself traces to 1917, when Louis Cartier designed the original Tank around the proportions and profile of the Renault FT-17 tank, and across more than a century the model has remained one of the most universally recognized rectangular-case watches in horological history. The 33.7mm by 25.5mm stainless steel case measures 6.6mm thick, sitting flat under any cuff and wearing as a precise companion to formalwear or weekend dress. The polished black lacquered dial features rhodium-finished sword-shaped hands and the unbroken minimalist treatment that defines the lacquer-dial Tank Must variants, set behind a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with the beaded steel crown set with a synthetic spinel cabochon at 3 o'clock. Quartz movement, semi-matte black alligator-skin strap with steel ardillon buckle, water resistance to 30 meters. Pre-owned, 2022 production, full set with box and papers.
