The Tank lineage itself traces to 1917, when Louis Cartier designed the original Tank around the proportions and profile of the Renault FT-17 tank, and across more than a century the model has remained one of the most universally recognized rectangular-case watches in horological history. The 33.7mm by 25.5mm stainless steel case measures 6.6mm thick, sitting flat under any cuff and wearing as a precise companion to formalwear or weekend dress. The polished black lacquered dial features rhodium-finished sword-shaped hands and the unbroken minimalist treatment that defines the lacquer-dial Tank Must variants, set behind a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with the beaded steel crown set with a synthetic spinel cabochon at 3 o’clock. Quartz movement, semi-matte black alligator-skin strap with steel ardillon buckle, water resistance to 30 meters. Pre-owned, 2022 production, full set with box and papers.
