The Tudor Black Bay GMT S&G reference 79833MN, known to collectors as the Root Beer, represents Tudor’s first steel-and-gold execution of the Black Bay GMT introduced in 2022 and stands as one of the most visually distinctive entries in the brand’s modern dual-time catalog. The reference pairs the Black Bay GMT chassis with an 18k yellow gold bezel surround and matching gold elements on the bracelet, the warm metal tones playing against the bidirectional 24-hour rotating bezel finished in matte brown for daytime hours and matte black for night, the two-color combination giving the watch its Root Beer nickname. The 41mm case combines stainless steel and 18k yellow gold in alternating brushed and polished surfaces, paired with a domed black dial featuring applied luminous markers, snowflake hands, and a red GMT hand tracking the second time zone. Powered by the Tudor Manufacture Caliber MT5652, a COSC-certified flyer GMT with locally adjustable hour hand, silicon balance spring, and a 70-hour power reserve at 28,800 vibrations per hour across 28 jewels. Water resistant to 200 meters, fitted on a steel and yellow gold riveted bracelet.
