The Cartier Santos de Cartier Large WSSA0037 is the silvered opaline dial expression of Cartier’s flagship 40mm stainless steel Santos, the reference that anchors the contemporary Santos collection alongside the green and blue dialed variants. The Santos lineage traces directly to the original 1904 aviator’s wristwatch Louis Cartier designed for Alberto Santos-Dumont, and across more than a century has preserved the defining square case silhouette, the exposed bezel screws, and the integrated link bracelet that distinguish the model within the modern collecting canon. The 39.8mm stainless steel case is paired with the matching SmartLink-equipped steel bracelet, which allows the wearer to remove or add links by hand using the patented adjustment system, while the QuickSwitch interface allows the bracelet itself to be swapped for an included leather strap without tools. The silvered opaline dial features painted Roman numerals, polished steel sword-shaped hands, and the secret “Cartier” signature woven into the dial’s geometry. Powered by the Cartier Manufacture Caliber 1847 MC self-winding movement, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 42-hour power reserve, water resistant to 100 meters.
