The Cartier Santos de Cartier Medium WSSA0061 is the current-production 35mm stainless steel automatic Santos in the increasingly sought-after green dial configuration, a colorway Cartier introduced as part of the broader Santos lineup refresh to position the model alongside contemporary green sport-luxury releases from the wider Swiss industry. Released by Cartier as a direct line descendant of the original 1904 aviator’s wristwatch designed by Louis Cartier for Alberto Santos-Dumont, the modern Santos retains the square case profile, the exposed screws on the bezel, and the integrated link bracelet that have defined the model across more than a century of production. The 35.1mm steel case carries the seven-sided beaded crown set with a faceted synthetic blue spinel, with case thickness of 8.83mm that lets the Santos sit comfortably under a cuff and wear cleanly on a variety of wrists. The textured green dial features painted Roman numerals, polished sword-shaped hands, and the secret “Cartier” signature hidden in the dial markers. Powered by the Cartier Manufacture Caliber 1847 MC self-winding movement, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with a 42-hour power reserve, water resistant to 100 meters.
