Examined to the movement.
The IWC Pilot's Watch Double Chronograph TOP GUN Ceratanium reference IW371815 represents one of the most technically ambitious aviator chronographs in the Schaffhausen manufacture's modern catalog. The Pilot's Watch Double Chronograph line traces its lineage to the Mark XV Doppelchronograph introduced in the mid-1990s, and this Ceratanium-cased iteration carries that split-seconds tradition into IWC's TOP GUN partnership with the U.S. Navy's Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor program. The defining feature is the rattrapante chronograph, allowing two intermediate times to be measured simultaneously via a dedicated pusher at the nine o'clock position. The 44mm Ceratanium case, an IWC-proprietary alloy combining titanium's lightness with ceramic's scratch resistance, is paired with a matte black dial featuring oversized luminescent Arabic numerals, a triangular index at twelve flanked by lume dots, and a peripheral chronograph track. Powered by the IWC Caliber 79420, a self-winding split-seconds chronograph built on a Valjoux 7750 architecture with the brand's proprietary rattrapante module, 29 jewels and a 44-hour power reserve at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Day and date appear at the three o'clock position. Water resistant to 60 meters, the watch is fitted with a textile-style nylon strap on IWC's EasX-CHANGE quick-change system. Pre-owned condition.
