Produced in 6,000 limited-edition pieces, the reference represents one of the rare moments Omega placed an automatic high-frequency caliber into a full-size 42mm Speedmaster case at a time when most Speedmasters carried either the manual Caliber 1861 or the Reduced 39mm chassis. The 42mm stainless steel case carries a fixed tachymeter bezel and a sapphire crystal, framing an ivory checkerboard dial with contrasting black sub-registers at three, six, and nine o'clock for date, running seconds, and chronograph functions, the racing-flag motif tying the dial to Schumacher's career.
