Examined to the movement.
The Omega Speedmaster Racing reference 3517.30.00 is the Michael Schumacher limited edition produced in 4,000 pieces to commemorate the German driver's 2000 Formula One World Championship win, his first of seven and the inaugural celebration of a relationship that would yield several further Speedmaster Schumacher editions through the early 2000s. Built on the Speedmaster Reduced chassis, the 39mm stainless steel case carries a fixed tachymeter bezel and a Hesalite crystal in the tradition of the original Moonwatch, framing a silver checkerboard motif dial with contrasting black sub-registers at three, six, and nine o'clock for date, running seconds, and chronograph functions. Powered by the Omega Caliber 3220, a self-winding chronograph movement based on Frederic Piguet architecture with a 40-hour power reserve at 28,800 vibrations per hour, the caliber represented a step up from the Valjoux-based movements used in earlier Reduced references. Water resistant to 30 meters, fitted on a stainless steel bracelet with deployant clasp. The reference now sits as an early entry point into the Omega Schumacher series. The 3517.30.00 remains one of the more accessible entries into the broader Omega Schumacher series alongside the later 3506.31.00 and 3506.61.00 Legend trilogy. 2000 production, pre-owned with Omega box and papers.
