The Reference

Examined to the movement.

The Panerai Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Days GMT reference PAM00311 is one of the most technically ambitious chronograph releases of the modern Panerai era — a 44mm titanium-cased manual-wind monopusher chronograph with an eight-day power reserve, second-time-zone GMT, and Panerai's first in-house chronograph caliber, the P.2004. Released as part of the maison's effort to establish manufacture-level chronograph credibility, the PAM00311 carries the heritage 1950 cushion case form in fine-brushed titanium with a polished titanium bezel — a material pairing that has remained largely uncommon in the Panerai chronograph catalog. The 44mm case measures 19mm thick to accommodate the depth of the eight-day three-barrel movement, fitted with a cambered sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The brown dial carries the model's distinctive layout — small seconds at 9, chronograph small-seconds counter, 24-hour fixed-hand sub-dial, an adjustable 12-hour central hand for the second time zone, and a linear power reserve indicator. The Caliber P.2004 is Panerai's first in-house chronograph movement — a manual-winding column-wheel mono-pusher (single-button start/stop/reset on the case edge at 8 o'clock), 321 components, 29 jewels, beating at 28,800 vph with a three-barrel architecture delivering eight days of power reserve. Water-resistant to 100 meters. Affirm financing available at checkout.
