The Reference

Examined to the movement.

The Panerai Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days reference PAM01359 is the modern automatic interpretation of the Luminor Marina archetype — a 44mm stainless steel cushion-cased diver built around the manufacture P.9010 in-house caliber, with a three-day power reserve, sandwich-construction dial, and the patented locking crown-protector that has defined Panerai's identity since 1955. The 1950 designation refers to the heritage case form first developed for the Italian Navy in that year, with a more pronounced cushion silhouette and tapered lugs that distinguish it from the standard Luminor case. The 44mm steel case measures 15.6mm thick with polished surfaces, brushed crown-protector, and a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The black sandwich dial carries the classic Panerai 12-3-6-9 layout with a date window at 3 o'clock and small seconds at 9 — the cut-out construction giving the luminous compound a depth visible only on this construction style. Powering the piece is the Caliber P.9010, an in-house self-winding manufacture movement composed of 200 components, beating at 28,800 vph with 31 jewels and a three-day (72-hour) power reserve, visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback. Water-resistant to 300 meters and presented on Panerai leather with stainless steel buckle. The PAM01359 is the contemporary daily-wear Luminor for collectors who want the architecture without the manual-wind ritual.
