Produced from 2012 until its 2019 replacement by the 126622, the 116622 carries the long-running Caliber 3135 movement and represents the final generation of the platinum-bezel Yacht-Master 40 before Rolex transitioned to the upgraded 3235 platform. The 40mm Oyster case features a bidirectional rotatable 60-minute bezel in solid 950 platinum with polished raised numerals and graduations, the contrast between satin case sides and bright platinum creating one of the most distinctive bezel treatments in the entire Rolex catalog. The blue platinum dial carries applied indices, Mercedes hands with luminous fills, and the date at three magnified by the Cyclops lens. Powered by the in-house Rolex Caliber 3135 with paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, Paraflex shock absorbers, Superlative Chronometer certification, and approximately 48 hours of power reserve.
