Examined to the movement.
The Rolex Yacht-Master II reference 116680 is the watch that introduced one of the most ambitious complications in modern Rolex history — a programmable mechanical countdown timer with on-the-fly synchronization, engineered specifically for regatta starting sequences where minutes of advance warning can decide a race. Introduced at Baselworld 2013 as the steel evolution of the original Yacht-Master II line, the 116680 carries a 44mm Oystersteel case with the patented Ring Command rotatable bezel, which works in concert with the movement to set, synchronize, and reset the ten-minute countdown. The bezel insert is blue Cerachrom ceramic with raised polished platinum numerals, paired with a white dial featuring applied indices, Mercedes hands with luminous fills, and the distinctive red triangle countdown indicator. Powered by the in-house Rolex Caliber 4161, a self-winding chronograph movement developed specifically for the Yacht-Master II and protected by Rolex's own patents, with approximately 72 hours of power reserve and Superlative Chronometer certification. Water-resistant to 100 meters and worn on the Oystersteel Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock safety clasp and Easylink comfort extension. A tool watch in the most literal sense — engineered for a single, demanding purpose. Pre-owned in excellent condition. Affirm financing available at checkout.
