Grand Seiko began in 1960 as Seiko’s effort to build the most precise and legible watch it could, and became a brand of its own in 2017. It is known for three movement families — mechanical, Spring Drive (a mechanical movement regulated by a quartz-controlled glide wheel, so the seconds hand sweeps without ticking) and high-accuracy 9F quartz — and for its Zaratsu-polished cases and dials inspired by the Japanese seasons. The Heritage Collection carries the classic case shapes; the SBGA413 “Shunbun”, a Spring Drive with a pink cherry-blossom dial in a titanium case, is one of the seasonal references that has passed through our desk. Every Grand Seiko we handle is authenticated in-house at our Jersey City office. We source specific references on request, and if you are selling, we make a cash offer within 24 hours.
