Examined to the movement.
The Grand Seiko Heritage SBGA413G, known to collectors as the Shunbun Cherry Blossom, is a United States Special Edition that distills one of the most evocative themes in Japanese watchmaking into a 40mm high-intensity titanium case — a Spring Drive masterpiece released to celebrate the moment in spring when cherry blossoms fall and float along rivers, the scene known as hana-ikada. The pink textured dial is the heart of the piece, finished to evoke the soft drift of cherry petals at the spring equinox, and the careful Zaratsu mirror polishing applied to the case and bracelet surfaces produces the distortion-free flat reflections that define Grand Seiko craftsmanship. The 40mm by 47mm titanium case measures 12.8mm thick, with a box-shaped sapphire crystal carrying internal anti-reflective coating and a screwed sapphire caseback offering a view into the movement. Powering the watch is the in-house Spring Drive Caliber 9R65, an automatic movement with a 72-hour power reserve and a glide-motion seconds hand made possible by Grand Seiko's proprietary tri-synchro regulator technology, rated to an accuracy of plus or minus one second per day and resistant to magnetism up to 4,800 A/m. Water-resistant to 100 meters and fitted on a titanium bracelet with three-fold clasp and push-button release. A 2025 production example — one of the most poetic releases in modern Grand Seiko output.
