Examined to the movement.
The Rolex Datejust 36 reference 116200 is the all-Oystersteel 36mm Datejust with smooth domed bezel, produced from 2004 to 2019 and representing one of the most enduringly versatile Datejust configurations Rolex has ever offered. The 116200 was the first six-digit Datejust in the smooth-bezel steel configuration and the last to carry the long-running Caliber 3135 before Rolex transitioned the platform to the 3235 with the 126200 successor. The 36mm Oystersteel case is built on the architecture Rolex established with the 1945 Datejust, the watch that introduced the modern dress-watch silhouette and the first self-winding chronometer wristwatch with an automatically changing date — a piece of horological vocabulary nearly every modern dress watch still draws on. The white dial of this example carries applied luminous hour markers and Mercedes hands, with the date at three magnified by the Cyclops lens. Powered by the in-house Rolex Caliber 3135 with paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, approximately 48 hours of power reserve, and Superlative Chronometer certification. Water-resistant to 100 meters via the Twinlock screw-down crown and worn on the Oystersteel Oyster bracelet. 2007 production, pre-owned in excellent condition with Rolex papers.
