Examined to the movement.
The Rolex GMT-Master II 116710LN is the all-black steel GMT-Master II that brought Cerachrom ceramic to the modern GMT-Master II line. Released in 2007 as the successor to the 16710 and produced through 2019, the 116710LN holds the historical distinction of being the first GMT-Master II ever fitted with the unidirectional rotating Cerachrom ceramic bezel — a virtually scratchproof and color-stable upgrade over the prior aluminum bezel insert that had defined the GMT-Master line since its 1959 debut. This 2012 example sits in the middle of the 116710LN's twelve-year production run, after the early-production refinements were settled in and well before the model's eventual discontinuation. The 40mm Oystersteel Oyster case is paired with the all-black Cerachrom ceramic bezel with engraved 24-hour graduations and the matching Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock safety clasp and Easylink 5mm extension. The glossy black dial features applied 18k white gold hour markers, Mercedes hands with long-duration Chromalight luminescence, the central 24-hour GMT hand, and the cyclops-magnified date at 3 o'clock. Powered by the in-house Rolex Caliber 3186 with the blue Parachrom hairspring — paramagnetic and resistant to temperature swing — the 116710LN delivers a 48-hour power reserve, beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and carries Superlative Chronometer certification. Sapphire crystal, screw-down Triplock crown, 100 meters water resistance. Pre-owned, 2012 production.
