The Omega Speedmaster "Silver Snoopy Award" 50th Anniversary 310.32.42.50.02.001 commemorates the 1970 Silver Snoopy Award bestowed upon Omega by the NASA astronaut corps following the safe return of Apollo 13, and stands as one of the most celebrated modern Speedmaster releases in recent memory. The watch arrived in 2020 to mark the 50th anniversary of that award, with a 42mm stainless steel Moonwatch-profile case, the deep blue ceramic bezel ring with white enamel tachymeter scale, and the silver dial with blue PVD hands and indices that together create the most unmistakable Snoopy commemorative Omega has produced. The applied silver Snoopy medallion at the 9 o'clock sub-counter, the rotating Earth disc visible through the caseback, and the chronograph-activated rotating Snoopy in the Command and Service Module on the sapphire caseback together translate the entire Apollo 13 mission narrative into wristwear. Powered by the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 3861 self-winding chronograph movement, METAS certified, beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour with a 50-hour power reserve and antimagnetic resistance to 15,000 gauss. The fabric strap is embossed with the Apollo 13 mission trajectory. Affirm financing available at checkout. Pre-owned.
